1100 people affected by a water outage in Williamstown yesterday now have their water restored.

Irish Water confirmed to Midwest News this morning that water has been restored to all customers affected by the issue.

Water tankers were made available yesterday evening after it emerged that there were issues with water quality in the area and the water supply was shut off. Work by Irish Water and Galway County Council continued throughout yesterday evening and last night and supply has been restored this morning/
