Temporary reprieve for ferry services to and from Inis Mór
- Details

There’s a temporary reprieve for ferry services to Inis Mór – the largest of the Aran Islands off Co Galway – for the next month.
Island Ferries Teo, who operate the service, had threatened to discontinue ferry services between Rossaveal and the island from the start of November until mid-March.
However, the company is now extending the ferry service until the 21st November.
However, it warns that all ferry services to and from the island will be withdrawn from 21st November to 17th March unless a resolution is reached with Government and Galway County Council on the ongoing dispute in relation to levy charges on passengers travelling to Inis Mór.
The company is extending services to 21st November to allow time for all parties to engage constructively in a joint effort to resolve the dispute.
