Elderly woman dies following road collision on Sunday in Castlerea area

An elderly woman has died following a road collision in Co Roscommon on Sunday afternoon.
The single vehicle collision occurred on the N60 at Corrastoona Beg, Castlerea just after 2pm on Sunday.
The female driver, who was in her late 80’s, was seriously injured when the car she was driving veered off the road and hit a wall.
She was removed to University Hospital Galway where she passed away yesterday.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to contact them at Castlerea Garda Station on 094 – 9621630.
