Castlebar road in Ballinrobe closed to traffic following earlier incident

Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a traffic incident in Ballinrobe this morning.
Shortly after 10am, a vehicle travelling on the Castlebar road – just past Ballinrobe Racecourse – was rear-ended by a second vehicle which left the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Claremorris Gardai at 094 – 9372080.
The Castlebar road out of Ballinrobe is closed to traffic at present – motorists are being diverted via Ballyglass.
