95,000 euro allocated for Louisburg under Town & Village Renewal scheme

There’s good news this morning for the West Mayo town of Louisburg.

95,000 euro is being allocated to Louisburg under the Town & Village Renewal Scheme announced recently by Minister Michael Ring’s department.

Four towns and villages in Mayo will benefit – one in each Municipal Area – and at this week’s meeting of the West Mayo Municipal District, Director of Services with Mayo County Council Tom Gilligan announced that Louisburg has been chosen, and consultations will take place locally as to where the investment should go.

West Mayo Independent Councillor Christy Hyland says it’s good news for Louisburg, which he says is crying out for investment…
