Revenue has published the latest list of tax defaulters.

The list for the last 3 months covered 101 cases in which settlements of over 17.4 million euro were made.

Of the 101 cases published yesterday evening, 8 exceeded half a million euro – with two of these settlements made in the West.

Building contractors Henman Developments Ltd with an address at Emlybeg South, Belmullet settled for almost 562,000 for under-declaration of VAT.

And in Co Galway, company director Joseph F Goodfellow of Whitethorn House, Ballybrit made a settlement of over 509,000 euro for under-declaring income tax.

A number of other businesses in the West are among the list of tax defaulters, with settlements of under 100,000 euro.
