Works are now underway in the installation of a new 8 million euro waste water and sewerage scheme for Foxford.
New sewers are being laid on the Belass side of the town at present, and while the works are ongoing some traffic disruption can be expected.
According to local Fine Gael councillor Neil Cruise, some traffic disruption is inevitable over the next number of months, but he says it should be kept to a minimum and its the price that has to be paid for progress.
The Irish Water project, will involve works on the Swinford road out of the town in the next phase of the development.
Councillor Cruise told Midwest Radio News today more about the works now underway.
