Judges in the Pride of Place competition will be visiting Killala, Ballycastle and Belderrig today, as the Céide Coast is representing Mayo in the new Community Tourism category of the IPB Pride of Place awards this year.
The three north Mayo communities are working together to develop tourism across the area, and all calling on people to come out this morning and show their support and pride in their local community.
Pride of Place acknowledges the work of local communities across the island of Ireland, and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in Cork on 17th November.
Meanwhile judges will visit the Erris Branch of the Irish Wheelchair Association in Belmullet this afternoon - as it competes in the Community and Wellbeing category. And judges will be in Balla tomorrow morning, as it takes part in the Population category.
