Man charged with murder of Sligo native Daniel Skeffington in Manchester

A man has been charged with the murder of 29-year-old Sligo native Daniel Skeffington.
64-year-old Michael Skeffington of Agnes Street, Salford, has been charged with murder and will appear at Manchester Magistrates court today.
No further action has been taken against a 33-year-old man who was also arrested in relation to Daniel’s murder.
Tubbercurry native Daniel Skeffington was found inside a house on Agnes Street, Higher Broughton after police were called there at 3.25am on Thursday. He was taken to hospital but died a short time later.
A post-mortem examination concluded that the cause of death was a single stab wound to the chest.
