19-year-old man injured on Croagh Patrick

Mayo Mountain Rescue has dispatched a team to the summit of Croagh Patrick this afternoon.
They received a call that a 19-year-old man had received head injuries close to the summit of the mountain.
He is also believed to be hypothermic.
A team is currently en route to the injured man. Conditions on the mountain today have prevented the helicopter from getting involved in the rescue.
Yesterday Mayo Mountain Rescue brought a 60-year-old Dublin man to safety from Croagh Patrick after he sustained upper leg injuries. He was brought to Mayo General Hospital for treatment to his injuries.
The Croagh Patrick 7 Day Challenge has suspended climbing on the mountain for today because of conditions.
