Gardai confirm that a man has died following accident on Cloonfad to Williamstown Road

Gardai have confirmed that a man has passed away following a collision on the road from Cloonfad to Williamstown this morning.
The man was the driver of a car which went out of control on the R327 at Kildaree, Williamstown at around a quarter past nine this morning.
Two other people travelling in the car were uninjured. One was also taken to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar.
Gardai at Tuam station confirmed that the driver passed away in hospital this afternoon.
The Cloonfad to Williamstown road has been treated for oil spillage and Gardai are advising motorists to exercise caution due to extremely poor conditions in the area this evening.
