Mayo Islanders Go To the Polls Tomorrow (Thursday)

Voters on the three Mayo Islands – Clare Island, Inisturk and Inishbiggle – will go to the polls tomorrow (Thursday) to cast their votes in the Children’s Referendum.
Almost 200 people are eligible to vote among the three islands, wher polling stations open between 10am and 7pm.
Mayo Returning Officer Fintan Murphy told Midwest News today that the islanders vote earlier than the rest of the country to ensure their votes are in on time for the counting of votes which will get underway on Sunday morning.
