Transport Minister will turn sod on new Ballaghadereen bypass this afternoon

Work will officially begin today on the new N5 Ballaghaderreen bypass.
The Minister for Transport Leo Varadkar will turn the sod on the project in Ballaghadereen at 3pm this afternoon – an hour later than originally announced.
The 13.6 kilometre bypass is the only major road construction project getting underway this year according to Minister Varadker, and has a price tag of €59 million.
