Regional Print Award for Sligo Champion Journalist

Jim Gray of the Sligo Champion has scooped the Regional Print Media Award at the GSK Irish Medical Media Awards.
Jim was presented with the award for a story he wrote about a retired Sligo orthopaedic surgeon, who spends six weeks every year doing voluntary work in Ethiopia.
Commending him on his work, chairman of the Judging Panel, John Bowman said his reporting was ‘exceptional’.
Ten other journalists were recognised on the night for their contribution to health journalism,
