A Mayo man has travelled to National Lottery offices in Dublin today to collect a Lotto prize of  €350,000.

The man, who wishes to keep his win private, won the top prize in the Lotto Plus One draw on Saturday 6^th October after buying his lucky ticket in Carey’s Newsagents on Main Street, Belmullet.

The winner told National Lottery staff that he had a pile of tickets, and only checked them the other day, to discover his win.

Collecting his cheque today for €350,000 he said “it’s unbelievable how your life can just turn around in the space of a few days”.

And the happy winner said he needed a bit more time to think about how he’ll spend his winnings.
