Man charged with trespassing at home of Ballinasloe Mayor

A 24-year old man has been remanded in custody, after being charged with trespassing at the home of the Mayor of Ballinasloe at the weekend.
Niall Lynch of Aonach, Ballinasloe, Co Galway appeared before the Galway District Court yesterday, charged with trespassing at the home of Carmel Grealy at Brackernagh, Ballinasloe in the early hours of last Saturday morning.
The Mayor arrived home from a conference in Ballinasloe to find an intruder in her house.
Mr Lynch was remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court in Castlerea on Friday.
