Up to 35 minutes delays on all train services between Mayo and Dublin this week

All train services between Mayo and Dublin are subject to delays of between 30 and 35 minutes this week, due to the commissioning of a new Level Crossing at Carrontubber, on the Claremorris /Manulla Junction section of the network.

Irish Rail says that, as a result of these works, all services on the Westport / Ballina to Dublin line may be subject to delays of up to 35 minutes, and apologises for any inconvenience this may cause between today and next Friday.

Meanwhile, Irish Rail will announce early this week what special trains will be available for the day of the All-Ireland football final on 23rd September.

Already, two extra trains have been announced on the Sligo-Dublin line for that morning, in addition to the regular scheduled service, and details will be available in the coming days of extra trains from Westport and Ballina to Dublin.
