Funding allocated for Behymore National School, Ballina for facilities for children with autism

Behymore National School, Ballina has been allocated additional funding from the Department of Education for the construction of new facilities, including a permanent Autistic Spectrum Disorder classroom, and a multi-sensory room.
The Behymore school was also among a number of Mayo schools selected earlier this year to have its prefabs replaced with permanent buildings.
Ballina-based FG Deputy Michelle Mulherin says this will be the only ASD classroom in north Mayo, and it’s welcome news for Behymore national school….
