The Garda Ombudsman is investigating the death of a man who became seriously ill while in custody in Galway City last month.
56-year-old Tom Early of Waterdale, Claregalway died in hospital on Friday last August 10th. He had taken ill at around the time he was arrested on Eyre Square in Galway on July 22nd.
Mr Early was buried in Claregalway earlier this week.
